The AOIA proudly presents the newest series of courses offered to you on a monthly basis. We meet every month to solve different problems that face you. Topics to be discussed will include a variety of problems in fields like practice management, bleaching, endodontic failures, and complications of implants. Prepare your questions beforehand as the meetings are based on your inquiries. Email us your x-rays, photos, or bring them to the meeting. Give us your feedback and let us know where you are struggling in the dental field so we can help.

Arrow Icon Esthetic Considerations: Patient Demands - Oct. 17th, 2011

Esthetic Considerations: Patient Demands

Esthetics has become an important issue in modern society, as it seems to define one’s character. In the past, functional demands were the main consideration in dental treatment. Today, the focus has shifted toward dental esthetics. Clinicians should begin a treatment plan with well-defined esthetic objectives, and they then should consider the impact of the planned treatment on function, structure and biology.

Patients’ demands and satisfaction with a restoration are important factors to consider, although the opinion of the patient may differ from that of the practitioner. Can we compromise?
